A BIT ABOUT US

Cadsand Blades is a husband and wife owned and operated business. It all started out as a dream and has come true through years of hard work and following our passion.

We both were raised in Northern British Columbia and grew up spending lots of our time in the wilderness. Be it at the top of a mountain, in the bush, or in the river we were always outside. As we got older, we started to realize that good outdoor gear was hard to come by, let alone something that looked good.

Our inspiration comes from the flare of the North and the ruggedness of the mountains and animals in our area. We love working with raw material and using our hands to make something refined and beautiful that can also be useful for someone for years to come.

Calen is the blacksmith, bladesmith, woodworker, and the creator of Cadsand Blades. It all started with knives and grew into so much more. Jaclyn quickly followed suit, knowing the knives couldn't leave the door without a pair of pants, and Calen is much better with a hammer than a needle.

Together, we create items that we use every day and truly come from the heart. Every piece is unique and has its own story behind it. We hope you enjoy what you see while you browse through our site.
